Mint’s very own Kate Honey is venturing out into the art and craft world and aspires to develop and create a range of ‘beautiful and useful’ products under the brand name, Silk & Honey.

Having completed a year at the MET studying Painting & Drawing in 2021, this year Kate is learning all about Ceramics & Pottery, also at the MET Durrington Campus. Pictured is the first ‘product’ from Silk & Honey; macrame key chains in 11 lovely colours. Kate’s hoping to have these for sale in a local craft shop soon!

The objective is to explore and enjoy using her design skills to create good quality, handmade art and craft using traditional techniques and natural materials, alongside providing the usual commercial, professional graphic design service of course!
